Features as follows:

• The flooring of this powder room consists of hand painted, hand made 4" X 4" tiles in five Tuscan inspired colors of maize, sand, cobalt, soft yellow and terra cotta.
• A hand made custom mirror is framed in painted tiles with whimsical motifs reflecting the same glazed colors as the floor. A rendition of the outside of the client's home was painted into the bottom frame tiles of the mirror.
• A single dropped sconce above the mirror creates an interesting counterpoint over a traditional white pedestal sink.

This powder room was part of a renovation that also included a mudroom and kitchen / family room. The renovation won the following awards:

• The "Best Remodeling under $250,000" in Connecticut from the HOBI Awards for the year 2004.
• The "Best Interior Design" in Connecticut from the HOBI Awards for the year 2004.
• Winner of the 2004 HGTV Designers' Challenge
